How to schedule a Talend Studio process in TMC?

In Talend Cloud Management Console (TMC), you can create executable tasks and execution plans, which can be run directly in the Cloud or with a Remote Engine. You need to create an execution plan to allow automated runs in TMC, using the processes developed in Talend Studio.

Talend simplifies your transition to the cloud through the Talend Cloud Migration Platform. Most of the content created with Talend Studio and Talend Administration Center (TAC) in on-premises environments is compatible with Talend Studio and TMC so that you can reuse it in hybrid or cloud environments.

In this #SkillPill, you will learn how to configure both the task and the execution plan in Talend Cloud Management Console, and how to publish the process you want to run from Talend Studio.

Step 1: Save both the job and the changes

→ Close and save the job

→ In the “Talend Git Staging” tab, save the changes

Step 2: Publish changes to Git

→ Push pull and merge changes made on the same branch by other users

→ Publish the updated version of the branch to Git

Step 3: Publish the process to the cloud

→ Right-click on the process name in the list on the left and select Push to Talend Cloud

Step 4: Log into Talend Cloud Management Console and edit the task

→ The process published from Talend Studio will appear in the task tab at the top

→ Select edit configuration to modify the task

Step 5: Save the task and create an execution plan

→ After entering the configuration settings, press the save and close button

→ Press the Go Back button, go to the Plan tab, and then press the New Plan button

Step 6: Save the plan and edit the trigger

→ After entering the plan configuration settings, press the save and close button

→ Press the Go Back button, then press the Edit Trigger button

Step 7: Add trigger

→ Press the Add Trigger button and select the type of automatic run you want

→Configure the start date and other trigger settings, and save the plan
